Just a quick post this morning to show that things are moving on.
I’m on a complete Copplestone-fest right now, and in two scales to boot! I’ve always found Mark’s sculpting style to be the ultimate ‘palette-cleanser’ and a great relief after painting many other figures. His choice of theme is always a perfect match for this style.
So, 15mm Copplestone Baarbarians (Barbarica?), a Giant, a Copplestone Wizard and one of Mark’s old Grenadier Fantasy Warrior fighters converted to carry a shield (new arm, bits of tabard, shield etc.). No real plans, just something RPG-ey, Frotgravey etc.
Something about these figures pushed me towards nermenerm (NMM) for the metals. The cartoon look just feels right. It’ll be a lot ‘righter’ when I get better at it.
Shoddy pictures for now – just phone snaps for the time being. These were taken in very low light too, so the colours have become a bit blotchy. Good enough to give some idea how they look though.
